Holley Pering, MT-BC
Meet Holley
My Approach to Therapy: I earned a Master of Education in Counseling from Stephens College after completing a practicum at Stephens College Counseling Center and internship at Chris Lawrence and Associates. I have undergraduate degrees in art education and music therapy, along with board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) and neurologic music therapist (NMT) certifications. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults with various mental health and neurodevelopmental challenges, including school-based services and community programs. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, wellness/stress management, life transitions, and trauma-informed care.
I use a client-centered approach grounded in cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy, integrating EMDR, expressive arts, music therapy, and mindfulness when appropriate to help clients in navigating life’s ups and downs and working toward overall wellness. We will work collaboratively to set goals for therapy, identify strengths, values, and support strategies, and foster resilience. I work under the supervision of Kim Bowman, M.Ed., LPC.
