Allison Neeley, LPC

Meet Allison

Allison is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and earned her Master of Education in Counseling from Stephens College in 2019. Allison’s counseling experiences include working with adults and teens. Her clinical interests include trauma-informed care, mind-body connection, anxiety management, healthy communication, and boundary-setting.

Allison’s approach to counseling is person-centered, which means she values the client as an expert on themselves and their individual experiences, and strives to understand how the world works from the client’s point of view. She also values the role that family and sociocultural systems play in clients’ growth and development, and offers compassionate exploration alongside her clients.

When working with adults and teens, Allison aids clients in understanding/ processing their experiences with both the mind and body, utilizing cognitive-behavioral skills (CBT) as well as mindfulness and body-based regulation techniques to reduce distress. Allison incorporates acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) components, assisting clients in developing an awareness and acceptance of their own feelings. Allison is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment to help clients heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.

Allison is a telehealth-only clinician. She accepts UMR, UHC, Aetna, and Medicaid, as well as private pay clients.
