Nicole Waldeis, LPC
Meet Nicole
I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology, and Multicultural studies. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Stephens College. My experience includes providing therapy to adults, adolescents, teenagers, and families in a variety of settings, such as inpatient, outpatient, in home, residential and hospital settings.
I believe counseling is a collaborative process through which you will feel supported, validated, and guided. I strive to ensure you feel safe, accepted, and heard from the moment we connect. I understand that you’ve faced many different challenges throughout your life. I know how, sometimes, your stressors may overpower your ability to cope effectively. I’m here to help: my goal is to help you identify the areas of concern, approach them, understand them, find your strength, and make positive changes.
Depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship difficulties, trauma, distorted thinking, low self-esteem, bullying, grief and loss, and substance use, misuse, abuse, are some of the areas that I can help clients process through. I use a client-centered approach, to meet you where you are at, and together we will work to utilize additional techniques and modalities that fit your individual needs, including active listening, validation, normalization, encouragement, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, internal family systems therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
